Gallant writes contemplative folk songs of struggle and hope with honest reflections of his heritage and everyday life in rural Maine. He has two full band singles out this year, and also a solo acoustic LP released in 2022. I normally pick my favorites from an album to write about, but I didn’t want to exclude anything this time, so bear with me, and I hope you enjoy learning about his music, Hank Williams, and a little about life in rural Maine.

Erica Brown and The Bluegrass Connection is a dynamic five-piece band from Portland, Maine blending original and traditional Bluegrass, Folk, and Country music with energetic performances. Led by award-winning fiddler and vocalist Erica Brown, alongside talented musicians Matt Shipman, Lincoln Meyers, Eli Gilbert, and Kris Day. The band’s latest album “Blue Pine Moon” has garnered praise from fans and critics alike, showcasing their vocal and instrumental prowess. Monday Night Concert Series- The Cobblestones.

The Cobblestones are a band from Western Maine playing a variety of songs from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Brown, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Natalie Merchant, John Mellencamp, CCR, Bonnie Raitt and many more.  You’ll recognize many songs but you won’t hear the same songs that other bands play.  In addition to hits old and new, you’ll hear beautiful songs that are little known classics and we’ll introduce you to some of today’s most talented songwriters.  Band members are vocalist Carolyn Plourde, guitarist/vocalist Michael Plourde, keyboardist/vocalist Danielle Tran, drummer Mark Plourde and bassist Phil Mantis. We specialize in great songs featuring passionate vocals, guitars and tight harmonies.

Christmas in the Maine Inn dining room The Rockin’ Recons are one of the 4 original P.A.L Hop bands that were featured in the 60’s. Their ability to emulate the best bands from the classic rock era is why they are successful with capturing the hearts of both the young and older generations. Since the reforming of the group after a 20 year hiatus in 1987 the band continued to perform. The Rockin’ Recons continue to play a blend of classic rock from the 60’s to the 80’s with a touch of country. The active members of the Rockin’ The unique mix of 6 talented musicians with a continuous blend of guitar, keyboard, percussion and strong vocals will make you want to dance and tap your feet all night long.
