Before Your Wedding
We are all here to assist you plan your wedding day. As needed, we will meet (or talk if you’re living out of the area). For any information, please e-mail Jenn at jenn@polandspringresort.com.
After booking:
- Please contact Jenn to book your rehearsal time.
- Laura Brown, The All Souls Chapel coordinator will be there for your rehearsal and ceremony at the Chapel or at the Gazebo.
- Reserve your suite or cottage with Jenn
- Send out “Save the Date” letters, e-mail, postcards to your guests so they will be available for your big day. Please include our website www.polandspringresort.com so your out-of-town guests can book their reservations. Cost less to book on our website than other websites.
Final meeting: 30-60 Days before your wedding, we should meet (or talk if you’re living out of the area) to finalize details… menus, timing, decorations, table arrangements, flowers, etc.
Please e-mail Jenn at Jenn@polandspringresort.com to schedule the meeting at your convenience. Please fill out as much of the questionnaire you can before the meeting.
Count: Two weeks before the ceremony, we would like to know the approximate number of people who will attend the ceremony and the reception.
Final Payment: No later than 30 days before your wedding date. The balance must be paid in full. We prefer checks for payment. You may prepay any amount by check to Poland Spring Resort, 640 Maine Street, Poland Spring, ME 04274. Please be sure to include a note with the date of your wedding.
Day before: It would be very helpful if you could arrange to bring all favors, alphabetized table cards, special glasses, guest book with pen, cake cutting knife, and anything else being used at the reception including any decorations to the kitchen office at the Maine Inn before the rehearsal or even the day before, if possible.
Make your wedding more than a reception!
All wedding packages include one complimentary suite in the Maine Inn or a two bedroom cottage. Typically the bride and her bridesmaids stay the night before and the bride and groom for the wedding night.
Invite the wedding party and wedding guests to come for the whole weekend! We offer a complete weekend package including both Friday and Saturday night lodging and both breakfasts or one night stays that can be reserved now with very affordable rates.
There are three inns and twelve cottages to choose from for accommodations. The Maine Inn is the hub of activities. The Presidential Inn (5 minute walk) has the game room and exercise room, and the Lodge is right on the 12th hole of the golf course and on Route 26. Cottages are a unique option. The cottages offer privacy and are great for families that wish to spend extra time together. The cottages all have a living room, a kitchen with refrigerator and microwave, and porch. Minimum 2-night stay.
Read over the website to learn more about Poland Spring Resort.
One night rental deposit is required to hold rooms or cottages, at the time of booking. Need help planning group reservations? Call Sue at 207-998-4351 for any special needs or group bookings. We do not suggest blocking rooms as your guests will have a large assortment of types of rooms and prices and unless you are paying for their accommodations it’s easier if they book the building and room type wanted. However, do urge them to do it sooner that later.
It is very helpful that anyone interested read our website at www.polandspringresort.com, before making a reservation.
Included in the package is a rehearsal at either or both locations, depending on your wishes and the weather. Please reserve the time with Jenn at 207-998-4351.
At the rehearsal, all those that are part of the ceremony should be there, bride and groom, wedding party, parents, officiant, any musician if possible and anyone else participating.
