GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Athletics Department is excited to host its 36th annual Husky Golf Classic, on August 4 at Poland Spring Golf Course and Resort. One of Maine’s most historic golf courses, Poland Spring is an 18-hole, par 71, championship layout with a slope of 125, measuring 6,178 yards.

This year’s classic will be played as a four-player scramble, beginning at 9am, with prizes for 1st-3rd gross and net scores. Additional prizes will be awarded for the longest drive (men and women) and closest to the pin (men and women). The event will also feature a 50/50 Raffle, auction and door prizes, a putting contest, raffle prizes, and a new car for a hole-in-one shot.

A barbeque lunch will be served at two locations on the course from 11am-1pm, and a full dinner will be served at the conclusion of the event along with the awarding of prizes.
