Monday Night Concert Series- The World Famous Grassholes

The World Famous Grassholes play high-energy bluegrass (yes, a little bit like that Billy Strings guy, but also like Greensky and Leftover Salmon and Mighty Poplar, etc.), a mix of original compositions, classics, and cool covers. It’s good for dancing and nodding your head and tapping your feet, and meant to be enjoyed with friends and family. Part of a long legacy of performers that goes back to 2000, the Grassholes feature Heather Kahill on fiddle, Merrill Marsh and Sam Pfeifle on guitars, Flann O’Brien on the stand-up bass, and Field Rider on Banjo and harmonica. Everybody sings a bit here and there, whether you like it or not.

Monday Night Concert Series- Joan Kennedy Band

The Joan Kennedy Band performs Joan’s contemporary crossover country music masterfully.  With blues, funk and pop styles infused, this full band will entertain you with every set.

Joan’s amazing talent, charm and energy are the main reasons why she’s remained one of Canada’s most loved singer/songwriter and entertainer. With her many flavors of music, there’s sure to be something for everyone at a Joan Kennedy Show.

Monday Night Concert Series- Christie Ray Trio

CHRISTIE RAY is an emerging Maine Singer-Songwriter-Musician, based out of New Gloucester. Along with performing at many venues throughout New England,  Ray has also performed live on the local tv show “207” and auditioned on the hit  tv show “ America’s Got Talent”.

Though her sets focus on songs from her newly released album,  “THE BATTLE”, she’ll also put her own spin on cover songs from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Miranda Lambert, Queen, Tom Petty, Hank Williams, Jefferson Airplane, Blondie and many more.  Christie is accompanied by Masa Takahashi on lead guitar/ backup vocals, Dave Currier on percussion/drums and Sean Finn on bass guitar.

Gallant writes contemplative folk songs of struggle and hope with honest reflections of his heritage and everyday life in rural Maine. He has two full band singles out this year, and also a solo acoustic LP released in 2022. I normally pick my favorites from an album to write about, but I didn’t want to exclude anything this time, so bear with me, and I hope you enjoy learning about his music, Hank Williams, and a little about life in rural Maine.

Monday Night Concert Series- The Cobblestones.

The Cobblestones are a band from Western Maine playing a variety of songs from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Brown, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Natalie Merchant, John Mellencamp, CCR, Bonnie Raitt and many more.  You’ll recognize many songs but you won’t hear the same songs that other bands play.  In addition to hits old and new, you’ll hear beautiful songs that are little known classics and we’ll introduce you to some of today’s most talented songwriters.  Band members are vocalist Carolyn Plourde, guitarist/vocalist Michael Plourde, keyboardist/vocalist Danielle Tran, drummer Mark Plourde and bassist Phil Mantis. We specialize in great songs featuring passionate vocals, guitars and tight harmonies.
