Improving your golf game is a journey that requires dedication and collaboration between player and coach. My focus is on providing comprehensive coaching tailored to your individual needs. Together, we’ll assess where you are now and define your goals, creating a personalized plan to help you succeed. Progress in golf isn’t always linear, but with careful guidance, I’ll help you stay on track to reach your full potential.
All of my programs are built on a mutual commitment. With a membership, we can explore a wide range of lesson formats, such as supervised practices, playing lessons, TPI mobility screenings, TrackMan assessments and skill development, green-reading sessions, wedge gapping, and more, ensuring a well-rounded and effective approach to improving your game.

vate, semi-private, clinic, and golf school formats. He also manages golf merchandising, tournament operations, and member/guest services.
The Robert Trent Jones Trail Grand National, Opelika, Alabama (November – April): John runs John King Golf Coaching & Instruction, continuing his mission to develop players’ skills year-round.
John’s impressive teaching résumé spans high-end resorts and private clubs along the East Coast, from Maine to Florida. A Portland, Maine native, John spent over a decade working under the legendary Ken Venturi, including at the Ken Venturi Golf Academy at Greenlefe, FL, and as the Director of Instruction at Grandover Resort in North Carolina.

League of Laughs – 9-Hole Ladies Golf League at Poland Spring Golf Course
Join us every Tuesday from Mid-May to October for a fun and welcoming 9-hole Ladies Golf League at Poland Spring Golf Course! Designed for beginner to intermediate golfers, this league provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the game in a relaxed, social setting while improving your skills along the way.
Each week, players will tee it up in a casual yet structured environment, with a mix of friendly competition, on-course learning, and plenty of laughs. Whether you’re new to the game or looking to refine your skills, this league offers a fantastic way to play, connect with other women golfers, and build confidence on the course.
Come for the golf, camaraderie, and fun, and leave with new skills and great memories!

Junior Golf Academy
Our Junior Golf Academy is designed to provide young golfers with a fun, engaging, and educational experience that builds foundational skills and a love for the game. Open to ages 7-13, this camp focuses on skill development, game fundamentals, and on-course play in a positive and encouraging environment.
What to Expect:
Fundamentals & Skill Development – Grip, stance, posture, and swing mechanics
Short Game & Putting – Chipping, pitching, bunker play, and green reading
Fun Drills & Games – Interactive challenges to reinforce learning
Golf Rules & Etiquette – Understanding the game beyond just the swing
On-Course Play & Strategy – Learning to navigate the golf course with confidence
Sportsmanship & Teamwork – Emphasizing respect, integrity, and friendly competition
