Denny is a triple threat: a consummate picker, evocative songwriter, and a singer with a ” voice that is warm and inviting but completely unpretentious— much like the singer himself,” according to Lucky Clark. Mainers have long considered Denny a “must –see,” but they are happy to share a favorite son with those “from away.”

The Cobblestones began at a Friday night open mic at Tucker’s Pub in Norway Maine in December 2014. Once Mike and Carolyn began talking to each other about their musical interests, their partnership was inevitable! What started as a plan to play an open mic together ended up as the start of a band dedicated to performing the songs that most move and inspire the members and to play them the very best that we can. Our motivation for what we do comes from many years as music lovers and as part time performers with many other groups. Now what we most want to do is to play only the best songs we can find, to a growing group of fans and see just how far we can go.

Encompassing a career that has spanned more than 3 decades, Canadian-born & raised singer/songwriter Joan Kennedy has accumulated more accolades and awards than most.
The youngest of 8 children and a workingman’s daughter, Joan’s love for music started at an early age when the whole family would sing songs around the kitchen table after her father returned from his day’s work. Making her family proud, Joan went on to enter & win a Canadian National Talent contest in the early ‘80’s which sparked her professional music career.

Gallant writes contemplative folk songs of struggle and hope with honest reflections of his heritage and everyday life in rural Maine. He has two full band singles out this year, and also a solo acoustic LP released in 2022. I normally pick my favorites from an album to write about, but I didn’t want to exclude anything this time, so bear with me, and I hope you enjoy learning about his music, Hank Williams, and a little about life in rural Maine.
