DESCRIPTION:  \nFriday July 4\, 2025 \nGet your foursome and register for the Freedom Flag Challenge. \nREGISTRATION OPENS – June 4\, 2026 at 10:00am \nREGISTRATION CLOSES –  July 2\, 2026 at 10:00an   \nMembers can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. \nREGISTRATION LINK – \nTEE TIMES – Member Times \nENTRY FEE – $25.00 per player \nFlag Tourney features individual\, 18 hole\, stroke play format in which golfers begin the round of golf with an allotment of strokes\, then play until those strokes run out.  Flags are given to competitors before the round. The golfers stick those flags in the ground at the point from which their ball comes to rest on their final shot allotted.  The golfer who stakes his flag the farthest around the course is the winner. \nHere’s an example: Let’s say your allotment is 75 strokes. You play the golf course until you hit your 75th shot\, which\, let’s say\, comes to rest on the 16th fairway. That’s where you plant your flag\, on the place your ball came to rest on your final stroke. If no other player’s flag is planted beyond yours (say\, on the 16th green or 17th tee box) you are the winner. \nDETERMINING STROKE ALLOTMENT – Full handicap (100%) will determine the stroke allotment. Using full handicaps\, a golfer playing Poland Spring\, a par-71 golf course and who has a course handicap of 14\, for example\, receives 85 strokes (71 for the course’s par rating plus 14 for the golfer’s handicap) as his tournament stroke allotment. \nUsing full handicaps often means that several golfers will reach the end of 18 holes with strokes left to use. In that event\, all players with strokes remaining  would go back to the No. 1 hole and keep playing until the stroke allotment is reached. \nELIGIBILTY – Flag Tourney is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap. \nPURSE – The golfer who stakes his flag the farthest around the course is the winner.  Winners will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit must be used by October 15th.  . \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules. The Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy is awarded to the champion. \nThe Tournament Committee/Rules Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions\, provisions\, and/or schedules herein. The decision of the Tournament Committee/Rules Committee in any matter is final. \n

Teams consisting of two players will play their own ball\, with the low Net score counting for each hole. \nREGISTRATION OPENS – June 11\, 2026 at 10:00am \nREGISTRATION CLOSES –  July 9\, 2026 at 10:00am.   \nTee Times – Posted within 24 hours after registration closes. \nMembers can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. Members registering individually online must notify the Pro Shop of the other team member. \nREGISTRATION LINK –  \nENTRY FEE – $40.00 per player \nTIES – In the event of a two-way tie\, Tie will be broken from most difficult hole to least. \nHANDICAP – Partial handicap (85%) as recommended by the USGA for a two player Best Ball event. \nELIGIBILTY – Governor’s Cup is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap. \nPURSE – Net Winners will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit must be used by October 15th.  . \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules. The Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. SUMMARY:Monday Night Concert Series- The Cobblestones
DESCRIPTION:The Cobblestones began at a Friday night open mic at Tucker’s Pub in Norway Maine in December 2014.  Once Mike and Carolyn began talking to each other about their musical interests\, their partnership was inevitable!  What started as a plan to play an open mic together ended up as the start of a band dedicated to performing the songs that most move and inspire the members and to play them the very best that we can.  Our motivation for what we do comes from many years as music lovers and as part time performers with many other groups.  Now what we most want to do is to play only the best songs we can find\, to a growing group of fans and see just how far we can go. \nJoin us at the gazebo at Poland Spring Resort\, bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy a night out with your friends and family! Tickets are $5 each and proceeds benefit the Poland Spring Preservation Society and our mission to preserve\, protect and restore the 1893 Maine State Building and the 1912 All Souls Chapel. Concerts will be moved indoors if the weather is not ideal.

SUMMARY:Poland Spring Preservation Society Summer Concert Series- The Cobblestones
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday evenings from June 22nd – August 31st 2026 as we continue our longstanding tradition of hosting local entertainment for our community to enjoy. Our concerts are held outdoors at the Poland Spring Resort Gazebo\, (22 Robbins Way\, Poland Spring Maine). \nThe concerts begin at 6:30PM. Pay your $5 admission when you arrive to the concert\, no advanced tickets are required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the concert outside. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase inside the Maine Inn. In case of inclement weather\, the concert will be moved inside to the Maine Inn. Friendly pets on a leash are permitted to attend the outdoor concerts.
