SUMMARY:Members - Memorial ABCD Scramble
DESCRIPTION:Memorial ABCD Scramble \nSunday May 24\, 2026 \nThe Memorial ABCD Scramble is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap and will consist of an 18 hole four player scramble. \nFORMAT:  Each team member hits a tee shot on each hole. The team then collectively decides which of the four balls is in the best position to play next. After the team decides which ball is best\, mark the position with a tee\, each player retrieves their ball\, and plays a shot from the new designated position. This procedure is repeated for each shot until a ball is holed. A player’s lie may be improved by one club length (no closer to the hole) through the green with the exception of hazards. For example\, if you elect to play a ball from a sand trap\, the player whose ball you have chosen to play must play the ball as it lies and then the other team members will be allowed to place the ball (no closer to the hole). Once players have reached the green\, the ball may not be placed to improve a player’s lie (must be placed at spot where it lies).   All putts must be holed out. No gimmies.  Each member of the team must use his/her tee shot once. \nTEAMS – Teams will be determined after the close of registration on Friday August 1st.  Teams will be made by placing A’s from low to high\, B’s from high to low\, C’s from low to high and D’s from high to low. See chart below for more information. \nTEE TIME – Assigned Tee Times starting at 7:00 am \nPURSE – Top Gross team finishers will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit should be used by October 15th.  . \nPoland Spring reserves the right to extend the deadline if the field is not full at the scheduled close time. Eligible Members can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. \nREGISTRATION LINK – \nENTRY FEE – $25.00 per player\, payable in the Pro Shop only. \nMULLIGANS – $5.00 per player Available in Pro Shop\, (1 Mulligan per player) \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules. The Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. DESCRIPTION:Pat has performed over 5\,000 shows during his 20-year career. He has performed for and captured audiences from New England to the Mid-West. Pat has performed over 250 shows a year since 1989. With a songlist of more than 600 cover songs it gave him a great base to build on his own songwriting skills\, it also polished him into being an energetic and passionate entity on stage. An audience can’t help but be effected by his chameleon-like stage presence and versatality. (You’ll never see him sitting on a stool through a show!)

DESCRIPTION:The Rogers Family organized the Ryan Rogers Memorial Golf Tournament as a means of raising funds to support The Ryan Rogers Samaritan Fund at Saint Joseph’s College. It was also designed as a fitting tribute to Ry’s love of the game of golf\, and serves as another means of drawing family and friends together in genuine Ry fashion. The 1st annual tournament was held in October of 2021 and raised over $43\,000.

Pay your $5 admission when you arrive to the concert\, no advanced tickets are required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the concert outside. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase inside the Maine Inn. In case of inclement weather\, the concert will be moved inside to the Maine Inn. Friendly pets on a leash are permitted to attend the outdoor concerts.

DESCRIPTION:  \nFriday July 4\, 2025 \nGet your foursome and register for the Freedom Flag Challenge. \nREGISTRATION OPENS – June 4\, 2026 at 10:00am \nREGISTRATION CLOSES –  July 2\, 2026 at 10:00an   \nMembers can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. \nREGISTRATION LINK – \nTEE TIMES – Member Times \nENTRY FEE – $25.00 per player \nFlag Tourney features individual\, 18 hole\, stroke play format in which golfers begin the round of golf with an allotment of strokes\, then play until those strokes run out.  Flags are given to competitors before the round. The golfers stick those flags in the ground at the point from which their ball comes to rest on their final shot allotted.  The golfer who stakes his flag the farthest around the course is the winner. \nHere’s an example: Let’s say your allotment is 75 strokes. You play the golf course until you hit your 75th shot\, which\, let’s say\, comes to rest on the 16th fairway. That’s where you plant your flag\, on the place your ball came to rest on your final stroke. If no other player’s flag is planted beyond yours (say\, on the 16th green or 17th tee box) you are the winner. \nDETERMINING STROKE ALLOTMENT – Full handicap (100%) will determine the stroke allotment. Using full handicaps\, a golfer playing Poland Spring\, a par-71 golf course and who has a course handicap of 14\, for example\, receives 85 strokes (71 for the course’s par rating plus 14 for the golfer’s handicap) as his tournament stroke allotment. \nUsing full handicaps often means that several golfers will reach the end of 18 holes with strokes left to use. In that event\, all players with strokes remaining  would go back to the No. 1 hole and keep playing until the stroke allotment is reached. \nELIGIBILTY – Flag Tourney is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap. \nPURSE – The golfer who stakes his flag the farthest around the course is the winner.  Winners will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit must be used by October 15th.  . \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules. The Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy is awarded to the champion. \nThe Tournament Committee/Rules Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions\, provisions\, and/or schedules herein. The decision of the Tournament Committee/Rules Committee in any matter is final. \n
