SUMMARY:Member - Governor's Cup (July 12 & 13)
DESCRIPTION:Governor’s Cup \nSaturday July 12 & Sunday July 13\, 2025 \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS – The championship will consist of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Teams consisting of two players will play their own ball\, with the low Net score counting for each hole. \nREGISTRATION OPENS – June 20\, 2025 at 10:00am \nREGISTRATION CLOSES –  July 10\, 2025 at 10:00am.   \nTee Times – Posted within 24 hours after registration closes. \nMembers can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. Members registering individually online must notify the Pro Shop of the other team member. \nREGISTRATION LINK – https://www.golfgenius.com/websites/10798856066058696880?preview=false \nENTRY FEE – $40.00 per player \nTIES – In the event of a two-way tie\, Tie will be broken from most difficult hole to least. \nHANDICAP – Partial handicap (85%) as recommended by the USGA for a two player Best Ball event. \nELIGIBILTY – Governor’s Cup is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap. \nPURSE – Net Winners will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit must be used by October 15th.  . \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules. The Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy is awarded to the champion. \nThe Tournament Committee/Rules Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions\, provisions\, and/or schedules herein. The decision of the \nTournament Committee/Rules Committee in any matter is final. \n
