SUMMARY:Members - Memorial ABCD Scramble
DESCRIPTION:Memorial ABCD Scramble \nSunday May 24\, 2026 \nThe Memorial ABCD Scramble is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap and will consist of an 18 hole four player scramble. \nFORMAT:  Each team member hits a tee shot on each hole. The team then collectively decides which of the four balls is in the best position to play next. After the team decides which ball is best\, mark the position with a tee\, each player retrieves their ball\, and plays a shot from the new designated position. This procedure is repeated for each shot until a ball is holed. A player’s lie may be improved by one club length (no closer to the hole) through the green with the exception of hazards. For example\, if you elect to play a ball from a sand trap\, the player whose ball you have chosen to play must play the ball as it lies and then the other team members will be allowed to place the ball (no closer to the hole). Once players have reached the green\, the ball may not be placed to improve a player’s lie (must be placed at spot where it lies).   All putts must be holed out. No gimmies.  Each member of the team must use his/her tee shot once. \nTEAMS – Teams will be determined after the close of registration on Friday August 1st.  Teams will be made by placing A’s from low to high\, B’s from high to low\, C’s from low to high and D’s from high to low. See chart below for more information. \nTEE TIME – Assigned Tee Times starting at 7:00 am \nPURSE – Top Gross team finishers will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit should be used by October 15th.  . \nPoland Spring reserves the right to extend the deadline if the field is not full at the scheduled close time. Eligible Members can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. \nREGISTRATION LINK – \nENTRY FEE – $25.00 per player\, payable in the Pro Shop only. \nMULLIGANS – $5.00 per player Available in Pro Shop\, (1 Mulligan per player) \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules. The Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy is awarded to the champion. \nThe Tournament Committee/Rules Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions\, provisions\, and/or schedules herein. The decision of the Tournament Committee/Rules Committee in any matter is final. \n

DESCRIPTION:Sunday May 31\, 2026 \nNamed after Cyndi’s Mother\, Margaret Sievert who had a Double eagle at Tupelo Mississippi Golf Course. \nDouble Eagle features four-player teams playing 18 holes of stroke play\, each team member plays his/her own ball and the two best scores of the four player team will determine the team score for each hole. \n  \nELIGIBILTY – Double Eagle is open to all Poland Spring Members with active GHIN handicap. \nPURSE – Low Gross and Net finishers will be awarded prize money\, determined by finishing position\, in the form of Pro Shop Credit.  All Pro Shop Credit should be used by October 15th.  . \nTEAMS – Players may register individually online and notify the Pro Shop of team members.  Individuals registering online or by calling the Pro Shop without a team will not be guaranteed a team\, please register with the intent of having a team. \nREGISTRATION OPENS – May 1\, 2026 at 10:00 am. \nREGISTRATION CLOSES–  May 28\, 2026 at 10:00 am.   \nPoland Spring reserves the right to extend the deadline if the field is not full at that time. Eligible Members can register by contacting the Pro Shop at (207)998-6002 or by clicking the link below and registering online through the Poland Spring Golf Genius portal. \nREGISTRATION LINK –  \nTEE TIMES – Assigned Tee Times starting at 7:00 am. \nENTRY FEE – $25.00 per player \nSCORE POSTING – Scores will be posted by the Committee \nRULES OF GOLF – All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA\, except as modified by Local Rules.
