SUMMARY:Monday Night Concert Series- World Famous Grassholes!
DESCRIPTION:After two decades\, the World Famous Grassholes are among the most storied bluegrass bands in Maine’s well-stocked country-music history\, with dozens of collaborators who have made their way through the band and four well-received albums. For the past decade\, however\, the current five-piece lineup of Heather Kahill (fiddle)\, Merrill Marsh (guitar)\, Matthew Nelson (bass)\, Sam Pfeifle (guitar)\, and Field Rider (“deadly” banjo\, according to one Dublin nightclub owner) have taken the band to new heights\, with four-part harmonies in the traditional style infused with contemporary songwriting that draws from pop to indie rock to punk and the blues. Their latest album\, “Gently Used\,” produced with Jonathan Wyman and Chris “C$” Burns\, takes you on a journey from a burning Monroe-style picker in “Walk Right Out” to an Eagles crooner in “Colorado” to the strutting blues of the Mickey Newbury classic “Why You Been Gone So Long.” You might find something better to listen to while the sun sets on a warm summer afternoon\, but you’ll have to look hard.\nJoin us at the gazebo at Poland Spring Resort\, bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy a night out with your friends and family! Tickets are $5 each and proceeds benefit the Poland Spring Preservation Society and our mission to preserve\, protect and restore the 1893 Maine State Building and the 1912 All Souls Chapel. Concerts will be moved indoors if the weather is not ideal.

SUMMARY:Poland Spring Preservation Society Summer Concert Series- World Famous Grassholes
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday evenings from June 22nd – August 31st 2026 as we continue our longstanding tradition of hosting local entertainment for our community to enjoy. Our concerts are held outdoors at the Poland Spring Resort Gazebo\, (22 Robbins Way\, Poland Spring Maine). \nThe concerts begin at 6:30PM. Pay your $5 admission when you arrive to the concert\, no advanced tickets are required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the concert outside. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase inside the Maine Inn. In case of inclement weather\, the concert will be moved inside to the Maine Inn. Friendly pets on a leash are permitted to attend the outdoor concerts.
