SUMMARY:Charity - University of Southern Maine Husky Golf Classic
DESCRIPTION:2026 – 9:00 Shotgun \nGORHAM\, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Athletics Department is excited to host its 36th annual Husky Golf Classic\, on August 4 at Poland Spring Golf Course and Resort. One of Maine’s most historic golf courses\, Poland Spring is an 18-hole\, par 71\, championship layout with a slope of 125\, measuring 6\,178 yards. \nThis year’s classic will be played as a four-player scramble\, beginning at 9am\, with prizes for 1st-3rd gross and net scores. Additional prizes will be awarded for the longest drive (men and women) and closest to the pin (men and women). The event will also feature a 50/50 Raffle\, auction and door prizes\, a putting contest\, raffle prizes\, and a new car for a hole-in-one shot. \nA barbeque lunch will be served at two locations on the course from 11am-1pm\, and a full dinner will be served at the conclusion of the event along with the awarding of prizes. \n

DESCRIPTION:Encompassing a career that has spanned more than 3 decades\, Canadian-born & raised singer/songwriter Joan Kennedy has accumulated more accolades and awards than most. \nThe youngest of 8 children and a workingman’s daughter\, Joan’s love for music started at an early age when the whole family would sing songs around the kitchen table after her father returned from his day’s work. Making her family proud\, Joan went on to enter & win a Canadian National Talent contest in the early ‘80’s which sparked her professional music career. \n  \nJoin us at the gazebo at Poland Spring Resort\, bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy a night out with your friends and family! Tickets are $5 each and proceeds benefit the Poland Spring Preservation Society and our mission to preserve\, protect and restore the 1893 Maine State Building and the 1912 All Souls Chapel. Concerts will be moved indoors if the weather is not ideal.

SUMMARY:Poland Spring Preservation Society Summer Concert Series- Joan Kennedy Band
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday evenings from June 22nd – August 31st 2026 as we continue our longstanding tradition of hosting local entertainment for our community to enjoy. Our concerts are held outdoors at the Poland Spring Resort Gazebo\, (22 Robbins Way\, Poland Spring Maine). \nThe concerts begin at 6:30PM. Pay your $5 admission when you arrive to the concert\, no advanced tickets are required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the concert outside. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase inside the Maine Inn. In case of inclement weather\, the concert will be moved inside to the Maine Inn. Friendly pets on a leash are permitted to attend the outdoor concerts.
